had a potential job at a new nonprofit lined up for january, with some weekly work till then, but when i suggested we draw up a contract, the founder said she couldn’t pay me till mid-2015! but still wanted me to do weekly work and then full-time work? FOR FREE? FOR A YEAR? when i said i couldn’t financially make that work, she recanted, but it punctured my ballooon. i know it’s her passion project, but…people have to make a living. anyway, she’s texted me a bunch to negotiate, and i will work on a contract this weekend, but not as jazzed about it all. why people be cheap and try and squeeze all blood from all people.
