She wades into the sea<br \/>\nand out. Walks to the well,<br \/>\npulls up a bucket of water<br \/>\nand goes back into the house.<br \/>\nShe hangs wet clothes.<br \/>\nTakes clothes back to fold them.<br \/>\nEvery evening she crochets<br \/>\nfrom six until dark.<br \/>\nBirds, flowers, stars. Her rabbit lives<br \/>\nin an empty donkey pen. The sea is out<br \/>\nthere as far as the stars.<br \/>\nAlways quiet.<br \/>\nNo one there. She may not believe<br \/>\nin anything. Not know<br \/>\nwhat she is doing.
