{"id":19650,"date":"2024-12-29T21:43:53","date_gmt":"2024-12-30T03:43:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bookbinderlocal455.com\/blog\/?p=19650"},"modified":"2025-01-02T09:52:01","modified_gmt":"2025-01-02T15:52:01","slug":"highs-lows-of-christmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bookbinderlocal455.com\/blog\/2024\/12\/29\/highs-lows-of-christmas\/","title":{"rendered":"highs\/lows of christmas"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>just gotta recap so that i don&#8217;t forget ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! all things considered it was a pretty good christmas? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HIGHS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>my sister&#8217;s wedding reception at LORO &#8212; the best food, best staff, best dancing, best guests, just all-round best time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>spending the night at the hotel with linda and sisters &#8212; taking a bath and watching hallmark movies and going to bed at 9:45PM!!!  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>falling asleep to <em>brooklyn 99 <\/em>a few nights in a row<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>izzy putting on her princess dress immediately after opening it on christmas morning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>our christmas dinner at leo&#8217;s &#8212; was so perfect, cozy, fancy, delicious. drank a glass of champagne, didn&#8217;t overeat, felt delighted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>all the wild kids<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NO HEADACHE FOR TWO WEEKS, IS IT THE SALT IN MY WATER???????<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>my striped sweater going strong<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>trying those two bakeries mentioned in <em>the ny times<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>walking the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbwla.com\/projects\/park\/kinder-land-bridge-and-cyvia-and-melvyn-wolff-prairie-memorial-park\">memorial park kinder land bridges<\/a> (and prairie!), straight up PERFECT<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>watching the beyonce half-time show at mom&#8217;s, such a regular kind of event that we haven&#8217;t shared in a long time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>LOWS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>taking Mom to the E\/R (but in a somewhat high &#8212; we were at the memorial hermann trauma ER and we saw people being lifeflighted in [gunshot wound, motorcycle accident], which was SO intense, but it also made you feel&#8230;alive, weirdly. can&#8217;t explain it. also it really did feel like the tv show <em>ER.)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>barnaby&#8217;s, so MEH<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>montrose neighborhood in general &#8212; surprisingly too edgy for me? we saw someone peeing ON a car one morning (!) (in the morning!!!), there was lots of random screaming at night, someone hit our car with a cane when ross was driving, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>our airbnb in general was pretty sub par, even though grateful for beds and heat, etc. etc. have new theory: airbnbs should be nicer<em> <\/em>than your own house or at least like a top-notch anonymous box<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>just gotta recap so that i don&#8217;t forget ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! all things considered it was a pretty good christmas?
