class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">in no particular order, the best of our California trip, July 2025, which was 100% perfect fantastic:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the unknowable fathomless ocean<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fig leaf latte at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quailandcondor.com\/\">quail and condor<\/a> (and pictured croissant was a tomato chocolate croissant?! i wasn&#8217;t that into it but i&#8217;m all about the croissant exploration)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>gray skies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>remembering to use \u201cbest bakery in ______\u201d to guide exploration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chezpanisse.com\/cafemenu\/\">chez panisse dinner<\/a> extra awesome and charming, tomatoes and champagne and peaches, plus associated memories of past meals in other lives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>beautiful peaches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>beautiful strawberries <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>beautiful tomatoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>emily, a magical person giving magic to so so many<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>best friends <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>eating pancakes with best friends<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>finally dancing to \u201clevitating\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>manicure!!!!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>charming Berkeley <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesearanchlodge.com\/\">sea ranch lodge<\/a> \u2014 sitting in the window seat and watching the water \u2014 so beautiful<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the tile and low light in the sea ranch lodge bathroom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>skipping rocks at the Gualala River <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>seeing alex and hazel after so so many years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mary sue and bob\u2019s sweet lil three-legged dog, pancho<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ross saying he had \u201cthe best avocado toast ever\u201d at farley\u2019s in the oakland airport \u2014 could it possibly be true?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>detouring to valley, emma\u2019s restaurant in Sonoma, just on a wild proud-person whim, ross getting a bagel plate, me getting flowers and a pastry, and emma\u2019s hilarious response to us coming to valley but not letting her know (\u201cYOU ABSOLUTE HOBAG\u201d) \u2014 perfection <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>not throwing up on the plane!!!!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a
