weirdly went into the weirdest zone when i heard that r & his old girlfriend adopted his dog together. tailspin really. was it the beer? i blame the beer. i’ve really gotten so much better about not being jealous and not looking up pictures of his exes, and not comparing myself to them, and just trying to just be in this moment now, and understand that everyone has other lives and other histories and they inform today but don’t necessarily OWN today. but tonight something just got unhinged.

old girlfriend: beautiful, thin, VERY brilliant, intellectual, great couples dancer, reader, artist, groundbreaker

new girlfriend: smart, not that intellectual, almost exclusively dances like a robot, likes rock music, extremely smiley, plodder
