just a few dumb cool things

• first of all — how many times can i say it but — the playoffs are manna from heaven. i fell asleep to the denver game last night, i.e., the best.
• one of the nurse assistants here, sean, is 52 and thai, and has lived in houston only a year. he was a lawyer in bangkok (!) but came over to help his daughter get settled — she’s 26 and about to start her internal medicine residency in california. a totally wild story.
• juiceland. couldn’t get a smoothie today because i had to get to hospital by 7am to meet the doctor but you BEST believe i shall be loading up tomorrow.
• our kia!!! against the odds

what else is cool. work being so nice about me being gone. ross. all my pals. all my family. staying at dad and linda’s. ETC ETC

just feel like blowing off EVERYTHING. just want to focus on getting a job in austin and hanging out with family and friends and not worry about any other anything ever again. like overdue t-mobile hotspot bills. also will there ever be a time when i can just chill and not work? or rather, more realistically, work and somewhat chill. (see my dream of becoming a stoner librarian.) i’m so tired and overwhelmed while still crying from how wonderful it all is.

about sums it up

the elevator ride down to the hospital. glad to be on the outside but the whole thing sucks so bad for everyone (patient, staff, visitors). poor mom. feel guilty for leaving wednesday to go to the library conference, but lou is coming, which is a blessing.
