please to me eyes and heart do not feel so wounded by nothing

my coworker just reprimanded me for not being more excited about this film project she’s doing. i was excited about the film, but then i started asking logistics questions, about how we would present it, and i think my enthusiasm dimmed in light of all the work. she had a legit complaint — i have this bad tendency to start thinking about all the details and hard parts of things, and not get excited about the overall — but her harshness totally took me off guard. like when a nice dog you are petting suddenly growls at you. whatever. basically: don’t trust anyone.
