turning 39

a great birthday, best one in a long time, in a long line of great ones. highlights, or, “another list”:

• carolyn’s bachelorette with best friends
• starbucks coffee in the dallas airport, coming AND going, TOP IT
• sleeping on a day bed
• staying up till 3 am two nights in a row!!!!!!!
• julie making us the most delicious fish tacos
• singing “wild horses” and “white rabbit” karaoke with caroline
• learning that singing all of the songs on one karaoke CD drives majority of people from the room
• radical tarot card reading: freedom changes afoot? how to make?
• great pre-birthday dinner with courtney, bill, and ross
• taking pictures of bill & courtney in front of the weird tiny marfa park
• early morning birthday x-files episode
• overnight trip to lajitas golf resort  (two hours south of marfa) (beautiful) (though the sight of water pumping from the depleted rio grande to the massive green golf course will turn you off desert golf 4 LYFE)
• lying on a yellow raft in the pool with ross
• bragging about being a pool baby
• falling asleep in the sun
• watching annie hall on HBO right before bed
• new green underwear
• exfoliating shower gloves, skin prepare to be kind of youthful
• new tote bag / no such thing as too many tote bags
• birthday email from susan merriman
• presents, mountains of presents
• so many great friends
• so much great family

body has changed and face has changed in these 39 years but soul remains the same-ish. excited for now and the future.
