working from home for first day
Posted: January 4th, 2016 | Tags: Uncategorized | Comments Off on working from home for first dayin my new home, and working! from home! it’s cool but i see future problems. like snacking pretty hard; petting clyde; lot of time putting on more layers (right now at 3); extremely bad posture; thinking about drinking hot beverages; internet reading (42 tabs open); etc.

my project list for my time in houston
in other news, i just got back from my houston sojourn last week and had a lot of big creative plans for my time there (see above) but turns out i’m terrible at part-time contract work and basically just stressed the whole time and sadly did nothing on this list, except buy a black turtleneck at a thrift store. amazing. what can you do. but some other things:
- made this bath soak — fun, incredibly easy, not cheap. now i have a better idea about how to do it and how i would do it better, but i don’t even have a bathtub anymore, so i can’t test them and is that safe and am i going to get into the bath soak business?
- watched getting on — loved first two seasons, the third maybe not as much, but still deeply endorse
- watched transparent — truthfully, i loved it, though i don’t LOVE judith light on it, is that heresy
- wrote all my thank you notes
- loved every second of houston
- fell asleep pretty early every night
- started therapy
- deep hung with my family and basically no friends (exquisite)
- got no massages
- went to no cafes
basically all i did was hole up and try and regenerate. i think i wanna recreate this in marfa — just quiet living. KEEP IT QUIET (new shirt imma make)
(also maybe “WITH A LITTLE MORE MUSTARD”)
